Following the Hymn of Thanksgiving, when Bishop Rassas briefly addressed the assembly his remarks were filled with humor, humility and prayer for all of Chicago. Laurine A. Day, age 96 (Mother of Nancy Day Murphy Goodrich - WA '47 & BC'51) of the Georgian, Evanston; died Sunday January 29 2006 in Evanston Hospital. Mrs. Day was born June 26, 1910 In McCook, Nebraska. She resided in Evanston since 1970 the last twelve at the Georgian. Prior to that she lived in Northfield. Mrs. Day was a teacher in local Montessori Schools. She also was a religious education teacher at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Northfield and St. Athanasius Church in Evanston. She also volunteered at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Beloved wife of the late James W.; dear mother of Nancy (Rollie) Goodrich, James W. (Toni) , Thomas F. Please pray for my Mom, Isabel Hoffmann Flynn, Mnahattanville '48, and my Dad, Ray Flynn. He suffered a stroke before Christmas and is debilitated and having a tough time. My Mom, in her grief at seeing him this way, is attending to him 24/7. It's very taxing. Please help us to ask God to mitigate the situation and to bring my Dad back to the best he can be.
